Justinian's action in redesigning the roman legal system has a strong effect on the aspects of iustum marriage, its deviations and the structure of the family. In particular, this is also the case with the compilation of Novella 14 (535), Novella 22 (536), Novella 117 (546) and Novella 134 (556), measures that dictate the criteria connected of the marriage and family structure. Despite the scarcity of sources, it was interesting to examine the possible influence of empress Theodora on the emperor's legislative policy, in situations where Her actress life would not have been indifferent, with all the consequences in theme of prostitution, exploitation and adultery: themes that characterize the Justinian's law goals about organic regulation of such issues, in particular with the normative aimed at saving girls from lenonic control, criminal repression, and even redemption from a sordid life.
