Dacryocystitis is a very common lesion in the dog; it is usually unilateral and may occur at any age. Therapy is based on naso-lacrimal flushing, naso-lacrimal cannulation or surgical approach. Authors describe a chronic case od dacryocystitis in a Golden Retriever and a modified cannulation technique using methylene blue and two suitably sized urinary catheters. Follow up showed the efficacy of the procedure and the complete resolution of clinical signs.
