This contribution aims to explore various directions in the study of landscape, with the goal of analyzing its multifaceted dimensions of investigation, its ever-evolving meanings, and potential research areas within the semiotic field. Viewing a landscape from a semiotic perspective involves examining it as a “text”, interpreted and created through various enunciations, discourses, official statements, collective perceptions, specific group perspectives, individual viewpoints, literary expressions, artistic representations, and poetic narratives. Additionally, it entails understanding it as a collection of attitudes and practices. Different forms of language play a crucial role in shaping a shared imagination of the landscape’s significance, spanning from art and cinema to advertising. The objective is to delve into the landscape by analyzing its diverse representations and comparing the grammatical structures through which it is interpreted: both as a product of cultural construction and as a tangible result of the historical material structures that have influenced a particular social and local context.

Abstract
The objective is to delve into the landscape by analyzing its diverse representations and comparing the grammatical structures through which it is interpreted: both as a product of cultural construction and as a tangible result of the historical material structures that have influenced a particular social and local context.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
