On 26 June 2019, Directive (EU) 2019/1024 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on the opening of data and the reuse of public sector information was published in the Official Journal of the European Union, which has been in force since July 16, 2019. Directive (EU) 2019/1024 replaces Directive 2003/98 / EC (and subsequent amendments) starting from July 17, 2021 and must become national law in the Member States starting from it date. The approach of the fateful date by which there is the obligation to transpose constitutes a significant opportunity for Italy. The national legislator is assigned the mission aimed at dissolving, in the transposition of the directive, relevant and significant intertwining and application problems.
