I nomi in tragedia nel dibattito tardorinascimentale

The essay follows the development and the implications of the debated problem about the use of real or fictitious names in ‘tragedy’ genre, within the commentaries on Aristotle’s Poetics of Robortello and Maggi and the theoretical writings of Giraldi Cinzio, who attempts to legitimize his onomastic choices inspired by a ‘wonderful probable’ and ‘telling names’.
