What Organisational Solutions for New Forms of Representation? Trade Unions’ Organizational Research The author suggests an “organisational” reading of the research carried out today by Italian trade unions which is structured in some of the most proven lines of sociology of organisations, with an overall evaluation following two hypotheses: the first one is that a trade union represents an organisation among other organisations, with peculiar features marking it; the second one is that trade unions’ organisation represents a considerable dimension and variable that is fundamental within the process of interpretation of trade unions’ strategies and actions. Through the first hypothesis, the author proves both that trade unions develop processes and logics similar to those of other organisations and that they have characteristics typically found in organisations. In the second hypothesis, the author refers to the latest events involving Italian trade unions, both with respect to troubled contract times and to the attempts of reforming the representation, to highlight their trend to change dramatically their internal organisation if expectations of renewed objectives, contents and methods of fights, built up by their members, arouse.

Abstract
In the second hypothesis, the author refers to the latest events involving Italian trade unions, both with respect to troubled contract times and to the attempts of reforming the representation, to highlight their trend to change dramatically their internal organisation if expectations of renewed objectives, contents and methods of fights, built up by their members, arouse.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
