This chapter’s goal is to retrace the contribution that the agencies made to protect the EU financial interests, i.e. OLAF and EPPO. In particular, the study will answer the following research question: How do these agencies help protect the EU’s financial interests, and how is this connected to the rule of law? Section two reviews the OLAF and EPPO structure and function. Section three discusses the possible infringement of the rule of law by the EPPO. Section four concludes the analysis, answering the initial research question.
