Abstract

At the end of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Sardinia presided by the lieutenant and captain general Álvaro de Madrigal, which took place between 1558 and 1560, on 3 December 1560 the representatives of the three Appendices of Cagliari (Lapola, Villanova, Stampace), capital of the Kingdom, were admitted for the first time absolutely to present their claims to the King. From the tenor of these requests we can see a further step towards the institutional construction of the Kingdom but above all towards the integration of the Sardinian people with the Sardinian-Iberian element, which has been resident in the Castle for centuries.
