The book aims to investigate some dimensions, still rarely explored, on the story of Pinocchio, addressing, with an interdisciplinary gaze, both students and teachers interested in the study of fables and fairy tales from a semiotic point of view, as well as from the children’s literature and visual arts perspective. The plural vision, in investigating specific written textual and visual textual languages, offers an innovative overview aimed at exploring analytic methods for narrative analysis, in order to promote a critical and conscious reading of the text. The book is structured in three complementary sections, with an in-depth path that will guide the reader to understand the different semantic components that characterize the story: from the semiotic analysis of the text and its cinematographic and advertising translations, to the study of the concepts of promise and lie, considered as two poles in the complex of the relational dynamics of the narrative, to finally arrive at the study of the subject Pinocchio in the field of visual creative thought, with particular attention to the analysis and development of its perceptible form

Abstract
The book aims to investigate some dimensions, still rarely explored, on the story of Pinocchio, addressing, with an interdisciplinary gaze, both students and teachers interested in the study of fables and fairy tales from a semiotic point of view, as well as from the children’s literature and visual arts perspective. The plural vision, in investigating specific written textual and visual textual languages, offers an innovative overview aimed at exploring analytic methods for narrative analysis, in order to promote a critical and conscious reading of the text. The book is structured in three complementary sections, with an in-depth path that will guide the reader to understand the different semantic components that characterize the story: from the semiotic analysis of the text and its cinematographic and advertising translations, to the study of the concepts of promise and lie, considered as two poles in the complex of the relational dynamics of the narrative, to finally arrive at the study of the subject Pinocchio in the field of visual creative thought, with particular attention to the analysis and development of its perceptible formI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
